It’s that time of year again. Our school’s 3rd graders visit the Van Hoosen farm one day and the Stoney Creek historical school another, each Spring. This will be my second time going there. We were Jaden’s clothes ready for school tomorrow and he said I could do portraits in my studio. Woohoo! It was a quick shoot and I go what I wanted. I even love the first shot. I guess he is getting used to being in front of the camera. I used to get these big grins from him where his chin would dimple and his eyes would go to slits but today he was a natural. I also set up a silhouette that I had practiced last week for a maternity session.
More sweet baby photos… March 26, 2011
I wanted to try out more poses and natural light this week so I enlisted my newest model to come over for a visit. I call the natural light shots Dreamy. The sun chased us through the room and I had to shift things a few times but I love the shots I got. Love ’em! I also got to try a new set up in my studio. Here she is…
Please stop by my Facebook page, and ‘like’ pArt of Life Photography to stay up to date with the latest. I’m working on putting together mini sessions in the park this Spring.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and in advance for ‘liking’ me on Facebook! 😉
So close… March 24, 2011
I had a maternity session scheduled for 9:30 this morning. I received an email at 6:15 saying that the baby couldn’t wait. Wishing them the best and anxious to hear news about the newest addition to their family. That baby has one super sweet older brother. I’m so happy for all of them!
Chloe, what a gorgeous baby! March 20, 2011
I got to use my studio soon after I set it up. I was so glad when Chloe came over. I just wanted to hold her but instead we set her up in a few differently comfy spots and I shot to my heart’s content. Well, not really – I could have kept going but we ran out of time. I hope she comes back to see me soon I’ve got so much more in mind. I look forward to seeing her grow. She was so enjoyable and is sooooo sweet.
I’m having trouble choosing my favorites, but here are a few contenders.
Indoor studio is here! March 19, 2011
I finally took the leap and set up a photo studio in my house. Come rain or shine, or cold or whatever else Michigan throws at us I can offer you a photo session. If we are not up for the elements come on over and sit in comfort during your photo session. While I prefer outdoor setting and natural light that is not always an option. I have a multitude of studio set-ups waiting for families, children and newborns. I’m adding fresh things all the time so come on over! We’ll make the session unique to you and you’ll have a great time. I look forward to capturing a part of your life, a moment to cherished, a special connection, a forever memory…
What else do you have that raises in value the longer you have it? Think about it and book a photo session. Hope to see you soon!
I sold my first large piece at an art gallery. I had this printed on a gorgeous Chromoluxe, that’s a high gloss print fused onto wood with a nice finished edge. I have another Chromoluxe that is 10 x 20 made up of 3 5x7s of my children in my front entry that I love. Ask me about Chromoluxes for your latest session. They are gorgeous and come ready to hang on the wall. Anyway, this piece is 16×20 and I sold it through the Starkweather Art Gallery in Romeo, MI. I also have some smaller pieces on display there, although they have been selling and I need to go re-supply them.
