Pretty in Pink!

All right, she is pretty in every color but I thought it was a catchy blog post title! I love when babies come to visit and this was no exception! This little girl is three months old and full of smiles. Little Lena was a doll, every minute of the session. I could have held her all day. We had some great conversations… she would coo right back at me and had me wrapped around her little finger! I hope I get a lot more visits from this little lady! Uh oh, see what she has done to me with all the exclamation marks?? Thanks Beth for making the drive to my studio. I hope I did not disappoint, although it’s hard to take a bad photo of this pretty little girl so I can’t take much credit.

Minis-sessions are now available throughout the year! I offered mini-sessions before the holidays. I now offer them all year long! If you have a nostalgic moment and want to create a keepsake let me know. Stop by for a quick session to remember a super cute haircut, a mouth with new teeth or missing teeth, an adorable outfit, a special time in your life, need an updated wallet photo to share with family or friends… Sometimes I have themes in mind or we can come up with a custom set up together. You can now shop for products with your pArt of Life Photography images from any session, past or present. Take a look around and decide what TinyPrint purchases you would like to make. Give me a call or send an email and I’ll let you know everything you need to start buying gifts and keepsakes. When you know what you want you can request an image for use on that product. There will be a small charge for use of the image but you can use that image at Tiny Prints for as many items as you would like!

I have finalized the details on my first-annual Holiday mini-sessions.  Let me know if you want to set up a session, or if you have any questions.  If you refer a friend and they set up a session I will give you a $20 credit. I was going to offer a credit for bringing in new “Like”ers to the Facebook page but it looks like that is against Facebook’s policies so I will offer that credit for referrals for booked sessions.  These prices are only applicable on these mini-sessions, which must occur on or before December 4th, 2011.
I have both a red and grey backdrop to choose from, as well as cute props to go along with the set-up.  You are welcome to bring any of your favorite keepsakes or traditional items as well.  I can help you out with many gift ideas as well, accordion books, necklaces, ornaments, customs greeting cards, key chains, etc.  Contact me and start a new tradition!!

It was a chilly but beautiful morning!  I met up with Erin and her mom in downtown Plymouth.  I revisited some favorite photo spots and of course, found some new ones too.  I really enjoy these Senior sessions and getting to know these young adults and hear what they are keeping busy with, like field hockey, and their plans for the future, like college applications they have sent in so far.  Soon enough the sun warmed up and we could no longer see our breath and we ventured over to a nearby park for a family session and few more shots of Erin.  What a great morning and the weather really co-operated.  A gorgeous day and gorgeous girl – a winning combination.  I loooove this shot by the fountain.  I can’t decide on my second favorite though, it’s a tie between quite a few.

I’m letting Hadley take cuts in line.  How could I resist such sweetness.  I think I need to bend the rules and share newborns even if it’s not their turn for editing.  I just HAD to edit one!  I’m so glad my photo-friend came over to indulge in a little studio time with her newest baby girl – Hadley Grace!  We had such fun coming up with different set-ups in the studio, with so many goodies to choose from.  I loved holding little Hadley as much as I had fun behind the camera.  She was so tiny and so sweet.  She was all swaddled up and snoozed on me for a while – so peaceful.  Ok, I could gush about her for a long time but I better get on to sharing.

My new camera has shipped, after a two week delay! – woohoo!  I just scheduled another Senior session.  I loooove Senior sessions!  Ok, I like all sessions but there is something about working with someone that doesn’t chase after squirrels (like my kids!), but I do still love the squirrel chasers!
I’ve also signed up with a new vendor.  Let me introduce you to the Modern Knot…  A gorgeous, whimsical frame vendor with plenty of shapes and colors to choose from.  In addition to the single frame shapes posted below they have collages that hold a row of photos or a combination of shapes and sizes in different layouts.  I am sooo going to update my photo wall at home with some of these frames.  I’m thinking of three to flank a large canvas.  I think they will look great together.  If you see something you like let me know.  Or if I can hep you layout a wall collection of your own I’m game!

Loved this session with smiley Gavin!  He is such a sweetie and has such an wonderful smile, and those eyes…  I’m also very impressed with his sign language.  Quite the skills!  I guess I wasn’t consistent enough with this and my kids because we never had too many signs and with little G I got to see just how helpful it was and how neat it was for him to communicate so frustration-free.  Here’s the little cutie!

You haven’t started shopping for the Holidays yet, have you?  Me neither.  Here’s a good way to get started though.  My favorite canvas vendor is having sales going on right now.  Email me for prices as their daily deals are changing and will soon disappear.
This week, I’ll also be receiving my first piece of photo jewelry by Kotori.  I can’t wait to show it off.  So let me know if you want to check it out.  I’ll also be posting a special on photo ornaments soon.  My kids love hanging their own portraits on our tree every year.  I got some metal ones last year that I love – and those too make great gifts for extended family.
